当压力油从无杆腔进入时,活塞有效面积最大的缸筒开始伸出,当行至终点时,活塞有效面积次之的缸筒开始伸出。伸缩式液压伸出的顺序是由大到小依次伸出,可获得很长的工作行程,外伸缸筒有效面积越小,伸出速度越快。因此,伸出速度有慢变快,相应的液压推力由大变小;这种推力、速度的变化规律,正适合各种自动装卸机械对推力和速度的要求。而缩回的顺序一般是由小到大依次缩回,缩回时的轴向长度较短,占用空间较小,结构紧凑。常用于工程机械和其他行走机械,如起重机、翻斗汽车等的液压系统中。
