Follow the follwing steps,you will be an independent person.To start with,you should have such an idea in your mind that I am an independent person because attitude is everything（态度决定一切）。Secondly，you should make clear plans to help yourself be an independent person。For example，use your own hands to cook,wash,make money ,etc.Next,solve problems by yourself.When you encounter troubles, don't ask your friends,families or teachers for help.Instead,you should face them and use your own solutions to handle them.To end with, if you depend on your family or your friends too much,I suggest that you make up enforce yourself to finish one task off your own bat(靠自己完成），like making one meal for your family or travelling alone.
In a word,if you want to be independent and you do your best in accordance with your plans, you will be an independent person someday.

To be an indenpendent man, I think one should first be independent inwand. You must know the neccessity to be indenpent and what you will get from it. The indenpendence in your mind can lead you to a way that is full of confidence and capability. Because to build an indenpendent mind, your should establish the base to be indenpent,that is your capability to solve a problem, and after you do that, confidence will follow you. So secondly,when you have built an indenpendent mind, you should make a circumstance to exert your indenpence.
