Last week Mr. Mills went to London.

And he lost her way.

Near a bus stop.
I can ask him the way.
He said to himself.

Excuse me, he said.
Can you tell me the way
to king street.

The woman smiled pleasantly
She did not understand English!
She spoke German.
She was a tourist.

Then she put her hand
Into her pocket
And took out a phrasebook

She opened the book
And found a phrase.
She read the phrase slowly
I am sorry, she said
I do not speak English
