Yes. I have a friend living on the other side of the earth---Canada. We have known each other for more than 10 years, since we were middle school students. As we are far away from each other, we can't meet often. However, we kept in touch by sending letters to each other once a month before the internet became popular. Now, we talk to each other on the internet every Friday. Though it is a rather long distance between us, we care about each other a lot.
