[美国小学生的读后感（二十二）]

亲爱的爱玛老师，

《金和铅的城市》比《白山》好看， 但只好一点点，美国小学生的读后感（二十二）。我昨天读完的《火池》比这前两本书好看很多。

他们在法国过得很艰难。 但他们宁愿住在法国，也不想被戴上控制他们思想的帽子，哪怕戴上帽子后生活会容易得多。

实际上，我认为龙已经活了，只是大卫一开始不相信它们有生命，所以它们还是表现得像泥龙。我不知道利兹和露西怎么给了龙生命的。

我现在在读《微光城市》，作者是珍妮-杜普洛。“微光城市”正在失去动力，它的机器快崩塌了。但尽管所有的东西都老化了，正在损毁，这座城市却生存了241年。它凭着城市建造之初的一切竟然坚持了这么久，让我惊叹。 我认为这本书的故事发生在未来。可能地球太拥挤了，于是人们造了一个城市。

我现在在读《雅吾的预言家》， 是《微光城市》的前传。它讲述了为什么人们要造“微光城市”，怎么造的。

亲爱的冰，

去年我在课堂上给学生们读了珍妮-杜普洛的《微光城市》，然后我们看了电影。
你看过这部电影吗？电影很好看，但跟我从书本上读到的不一样。

珍妮-杜普洛的住处离我们学校只有五英里。　她以前是高中英语老师，　也做过苹果公司的技术写作员。

你打算读完这个系列里所有的书吗？一共有四本。　班级图书馆里以前四本都有，希望这一套书现在仍然是全的。

《微光城市》是一本＂后灾难＂小说。　故事发生在遥远的未来。　告诉我你怎么看杜和丽娜的。

Dear Ms.
Emma,

The
City of Gold and Lead is better than The White
Mountains, but only a little. But The Pool of Fire (I
finished that about yesterday) is much better than either of
them.

Life was hard
for them, I think. But they
would still rather live there than be capped, even if life was much
easier if you were capped.

Actually, I
think the dragons were already alive, just that David didn’t
believe in them at first so they appeared as clay. I don’t exactly know how Liz and Lucy
could make the clay dragons come to life.

I am now
reading The City of Ember, by Jeanne DuPrau. The City is losing power and its
machines are breaking down.
The City already survived 241 years or more even though everything
is old and breaking. I
wonder how it survived so long with only the things it started out
with. I think the time of
this book is in the future.
Maybe the world got too overcrowded or something so they made a
city.

I am now
reading The Prophet of
Yonwood, the
prequel to The City of
Ember. It is about
how Ember was made and why.

Dear
Ben,

Last year I
read The City of Ember, by Jeanne DuPrau as a read aloud and
then we saw the movie.
Have you seen the
movie? It’s pretty
good, but not how I imagined it from the book.

Jeanne DuPrau
lives about 5 miles from our school. She used to be an English teacher at a
high school and she’s also worked for Apple, Inc. as a technical
writer.

Are you going to read all the books in
the series? There
are 4. I used to have them all in our class library. I hope I still do.

The City
of Ember is a post-apocalyptic novel. It is set way into the
future. Tell me your thoughts on Doon and
Lina.
