Which is better? Urban life or country life? Ask anyone in the street, and you will know cities are more, far more, attractive than the country.

Ever since the first towns were built, more and more people gathered in towns and townships. Now towns have become cities, and cities have become metropolises. Some cities, like New York, London, shanghai, Wuhan, have 8,000,000 people or more living and working downtown.

Why do so many people live in crowded neighborhood in towns and cities? Don’t they have a lot of problems? Crimes, pollution, traffic jams and so on. Most crimes are found in cities. And cities have more crimes than the countryside.

All these shortcomings shrink before the merits. Cities have more opportunities of success. People go to big cities to make a fortune. They may fail. But they never succeed if they stay on in the country. That’s why people keep coming to big cities.

Look at the traffic convenience, the shopping continence, the education convenience, and all other kinds of conveniences and fun and opportunities.

Some people dislike cities and complain about city life. They may have lost money, chances, jobs, blood, tears, so they talk about and think of moving to the countryside. Will they really give up their residence and job in the city.

Some of such displeased people buy a house in the countryside and do live there a day or two in a week. But they will never live there permanently like farmers.

I dislike this city for many reasons. But I am the last person to leave it.
