Abstract: this paper mainly introduces the origin and development of pharmaceutics, and the classification of drugs with my personal cognition of them. Drug is classified into three groups: chemical medicine, biological medicine and Chinese traditional medicine. Pharmaceutics focuses on four major subjects, they are: drug chemical, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmacology and pharmacy. Apart from the discussions of pharmaceutical origin and development, drug classification, this paper also emphasis on the background and development of the four professional subjects.
