两个考点：
现代分词做定语修furniture. 动词原型是不能做定语，只能做谓语。所以用needing. =There are many pieces of furniture that need repairing.
need+v.ing 主动表被动。The clothes need washing= The clothes need to be washed.这个由于你不熟，用得少，所以会觉得怪。
