Good afternoon everybody! It is my honor to speak here, and I am very glad to share my topic with you. Today I would like to talk about my dream --to be a world famous pianist" ['pɪənɪst]
People thrive [θraiv] when they do the thing they love. I began to learn the piano at the age
of six. I was curious about it at first, so I started to learn. Little did I know about all the sweat I had to shed in the coming years, to slaowly and painstakingly hone my skills. It was a tough and unforgettable period ['pɪrɪəd] in primary school, when I detested practice. After several years of hard work, I eventually understood the glamour ['ɡlæmə] of the piano and fell in love with it.
Dreams have values only when they have something valuable as their reward .There were many
world famous pianists in all times ,such as Beethoven, Mozart, Richard Clayderman
and Marksim.They all saw the piano as the most valuable thing in their life. Beethoven loved the piano so much that not even turning deaf could deter him from composing. Not
only did they have the enthusiasm [ɪn'θuzɪæzəm], they also had their talent and hard work which made them the world famous pianists. After the hard work, they reaped their rewards, they could hold concerts and people would pay large sums of money to watch them. Royalty would also hire them for entertainment. This proves that dreams can also turn practical as the money they earned helped them provide fot their family.
I have to believe in myself because believing the secret of success. I have every confidence in
realizing my dream. In my junior high school age, I have attended several Literature ['lɪtrətʃɚ] evening parties in the cinema, where our school had contracted for a whole day . In spite of the difficulties and obstacles that will come my way, I will overcome each and every one of them.
I may be a slow walker, but I never walk backwards. As soon as I entered the college, I
suddenly felt nervous. There are many subjects I must juggle with. Therefore, I
the time I could set aside for piano practice becamse lesser. Not only that ,
there lack of pianos in this school means that I can only practise at home. Fortunately, I live near my school.
It'snever too late to be the person I want to be. Nothing can stop me from realizing
my dream. Thank you for listening and that is all.
