I can't understood what you said中本该就用understand，而不是understood，因为情态动词后面的动词要用原形。
因为said用了过去式，所以不能用understand
因为后面说了what you said,说出去的话已经成为过去式，所以应该用understood
动词的形式前后要一致。
因为后面是said，时态一致
