帮忙解决一些英语问题，高手请进！！！！！！

a number of表示很多，谓语动词用复数。
the number of重点在the，定指这个数字，所以谓语动词用单数。
each of和every of是强调每一个所以谓语动词应该为单数吧，这个不太确定。上面两个是肯定的。

a number of 指的是许多
如：A number of cars 为许多小轿车
the number of 指的是 ……的数量
如:the number of cars 为 小轿车的数量

every one of 强调的是整体 （注意是every one of）
each of 侧重于个体

试比较：

Each of them goes to a different factory. 他们各自去了不同的工厂。

Every one of them goes to the same factory. 他们每个人都去了同一个工厂。

either of一般用于其中任何一个 也用在否定句中
或者用在表示两者之中的其中一个时

both of
却用在两者之中的双方都\
表示肯定的语气

1. a number of 一些，后跟可数名词复数，谓语动词用复数，中心词为后面的名词
2.the number of什么什么的数量，后跟名词复数，谓语动词用 单数，中心词为number
3.each of每一，用于两者或两者以上，后跟名词复数或代词，谓语动词用单数，中心词为each，这个each是代词
4。every of我认为没这种用法，因为every只能是形容词，怎能与of连用呢？我想是every one of吧。
像这一类的短语后谓语动词的单复数啊，我建议您要多体会中心词，通过它来判断，并且要常问老师。

either of谓语动词一定用单数且是两者之间(neither of也一样）

both of谓语动词一定用复数

a number of: 一些

both/all of +定冠词/物主代词/指示代词或其他限定词，其中of及其后的定冠词可去掉
如：both/all (of) students are here.
both/all of +复数人称代词宾格，其中of不能去掉
如：both/all of them are students.

a number of 许多，后面跟名词复数做主语，谓语动词用复数形式。
the number of ……的数量，数字，谓语动词用单数。
each of 和every of, 谓语动词用单数。
