Today, I’d like to share some interesting knowledge what I’ve been acquiring in English study.
As you may know, the meaning of few English words in idioms will not stand for its original meanings, such as “apple” and “water”.
For example:
Apple. The girl is the apple of her mother's eyes. Means, she is the precious pearl of her mother.
water. They are in deep water now. Means, they are really in trouble now.

Good morning, everyone. Today I'm gonna to talk about my discoveries. In English, there are so many words have the meaning that mean food and drink, but some of these words do not mean food and drink in some sentences. For example:

 Apple. The girl is the apple of her mother's eye.
 Or water. They are in deep water now.

Good morning, everybody! Today I would like to say something about my findings. In the English language, a lot of vocabulary convey the meaning of "eat" or "drink". However, the same word may not convey the meaning of "eat" or "drink" when they are used in certain sentences. Take for example, the word "Apple" in the sentence "The girl is the apple of her mother's eye" Another example is the word "water" in this sentence " they are in deep water now".
