His famous saying suggests/indicates the importance of music teaching to improve the quality of the whole people, and the popularity of music teaching plays a significant and underestimated role/part in promoting the quality of education in China.
In recent years, music teaching, as an important part of quality education, has become a greater and greater concern in many aspects of the society. As the educational departments and schools pay attention to music teaching, music teaching facilities are gradually improving，the quality of teachers ( is) gradually rising, as well, and there are more and more rich and colorful extracurricular music activities. However, due to the prevalent gap between the urban-rural areas in China, the music teaching is not optimistic in some remote underdeveloped areas . While teaching as a volunteer teacher, I have personally experienced and found a lot of problems about music teaching in primary schools.
This paper deals with a study of the primary schools in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province by means of the questionnaire survey, observation and literature analysis with the high-grade students extracted as the research sample. The investigation includes: teachers, teaching equipment, teaching content, teaching methods and so on. Based on the findings, the data is carefully analyzed and sorted. After that , the existing problems and imperfections/inadequacies/deficiencies in music teaching in the urban primary schools of Mudanjiang City is summarised, the analysis of the reason for this situation is made, the improving measures are found out, and personal suggestions are made, all of which are aimed at improving the music teaching of Mudanjiang urban primary schools with all my efforts.
