　　就在《飘扬的旗帜》被南非世界杯组委会确定为官方主题歌几个月后，国际足联联合近几年来的合作伙伴索尼音乐，也在五月初公布了国际足联版的南非世界杯主题歌，即由哥伦比亚裔歌手夏奇拉创作并演唱的歌曲《WAKA WAKA》，而此举也一度让人茫然于究竟谁才是本届世界杯的主题歌。
