It is a indisputable fact that neighbors are the ones that we need to get along with every day. It is our neighbors that can give us the first aid when we get into trouble. Therefore, being a good neighbor is quite vital in our daily life. In my opinion, a good neighbor should have the qualities as follows.
First, a good neighbor should be helpful. Just as the saying goes, a distant relative is not as good as a near neighbor. Sometimes when we meet an emergent situation, for instance, when our family member is sick and we can’t get back in a short time, we can turn to our neighbor for assistance. If our neighbor is helpful, he/she is willing to take our family member to the hospital and seek for medical treatment. What’s more, when we need to travel for a long time and no family member will be able to take care of our beloved pets, we can ask our neighbor to do a favor. A good neighbor will always be ready to help and will be glad to look after our pets well.
Second, being a good nieghbor requires he/she to be warm-hearted and humorous. For example, my neighbor is definitely a fantanstic neighbor, who is friendly and warm-hearted. Whenever I go to his house, he always give me a warm welcome and never refuse to play with me or ignore me. Besides, so long as I am upset, he will influence me with his opimistic attitude towards life and spare no effort to make me smile again, by telling jokes or funny experience of himself. During the weekend, the moment I expect most is when my neighbor and I can watch my favorite movie or cartoon together. I really appreaciate that I have such a warm-hearted neighbor and I even consider that no one else in the world can be a better neighbor than him.
To sum up, being helpful and kind-hearted makes a good neighbor, someone who always lend you a helping hand when needed; someone who can makes your life colorful and full of happiness.
