The cartoon describes the teenagers' pressure under the influence of the theory " integrated development" by parents. From the cartoon, the teen shows his fear of the learning the multiple tasks, such as guitar, piano, flute, art. All the instruments and interests are running to him. However, the teen is incapable to learning all of them. Therefore, the teen runs away.
Following the improvements of living standard and education levels, more and more parents concentrate on the development of their children. Except for the education in school, which focus on the learning of academic skills, parents favored the children's study out of school. The term " integrated development" is becoming a honor to the students. The parents paid a large amount of money for the " integrated development", which involves the extra interests and activities, such as music, dance, drawing. Nevertheless, the situation turns to the opposite way when the pressure becomes too extreme. The students don't even acquired enough amount of time to enroll into these interests while they need to maintain the high grade in academy in school. One of the consequences is the teenagers are not able to suffer from the endless school work and the activities and finally they quits.
From the parents' perspective, the purpose of the " integrated development" is to help their children to be successful. However, the parents are also responsible for their children's feeling and happiness. Too much work and activities would drive their children crazy. Thus, the parents needs to consolidate the communication with their children and understand their children's situation.
