any other 后是加名词的单数还是复数

在比较句中,than后面的any other加单数 eg. He's taller than any other student in his
class. 而than后面如果是any+n. 要用复数 eg. He's taller than any students in his
class. 而当any other+n. 不用于比较句中,一般是跟复数 eg. Did you see any other films?
any other students意思是“别的学生”一般出现在疑问句或否定句中. any of students是“任一个学生”.
注意any
other的用法,是指在同一范围内除了某人或某物以外的其他人或事物,any
other后跟单数名词,也可以说any of the
other+复数名词.如：

Tom runs faster than any other student(或any of the other
students)in his class.

单数，因为此处any的含义是“任何一个”。
any other student；
any other person；
any other doctor.
