由后面的名词单复数决定，如是可数名词，谓语动词不用单三。如：
50% of the students in our class are/come from the countryside.
后面如是不可数名词，谓语动词用单三。如
30% of the water in the lake is polluted.
例如：

third
of
apple
is
bad.这只苹果的三分之一是坏的
one
third
of
apples
are
bad。三分之一的苹果是坏的
关键是看谓语，看它是个体还是很多的集合
