英语desire和hope的区别？

hope=to want something to happen or to be true, and usually have a goodreason to think that it might.
hope is when we belief that something will happen but still we do not ignore the probable other half which may occur.
eg.She's hoping that she won't be away too long.
desire=to want something, especially strongly.
Desire is when we want something badly to happen which is far from reach. but there is no element of belief here. We just want a object or thing badly
eg.I desire only to be left in peace.
