例如：study, live,等。与之相对的是短暂性动词，如die, borrow, 等，当短暂性动词与表示时间段的词连用时，要把短暂性动词改为延续性动词。
例如，Her grandfather died at the age of eighty.
如果加了时间段就不能用die，要改为意思相近的延续性动词。
例如：Her grandfather has passed away for 10 years.
