咱这是给客户写信函修改信用证吧，因为没有直达船到Santa Cruz，而转船运输花的时间比较长，所以需要客户更改信用证条款，延长其装运期和信用证有效期。（原信用证装运期是不晚于7.10，但如果修改信用证，来回会花费一些时间，所以需要把装运期也往后顺延了）

We have received your L/C today. However, because the direct steamer to Santa Cruz is unavailable and transshipment will take longer time than stipulated originally in the L/C, the L/C needs to be extended as follows:

(1) 31D: Date of expiry should be extended to ........
(2) 44C: Latest date of shipment will be extended to .......
